From the stables of the modelling director: Miss Bold and Beautiful Nigeria

It is with great pleasure that I welcome our gorgeous contestants to this beauty pageantry tagged “Miss Bold and Beautiful Nigeria (MBBN)”. The MBBN trademarked in Nigeria under Cherdah Republic Limited, is not just a beauty pageant, but an opportunity for young plus sized ladies to showcase the beauty of the plus sized Nigerian woman to the world.
The MBBN beauty pageant is a non-ethnical, non-religious and non-political entertainment motivated competition geared towards building a sustainable platform that should serve to eliminate the high level of discrimination plus sized ladies face in the modeling industry and also to raise a generation of confident, driven and career oriented ladies that will help drive the Nigerian entertainment industry to the peak.

The Idea

The company plans to institute a standard pageantry competition that would be strictly for plus sized models. This competition is to be the “Champions League” of plus sized modelling in Nigeria and Africa in the nearest future. The proposed name for the competition is “MISS BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL NIGERIA (MBBN)” this is to be a non-ethnic, non-religious and non-political entertainment motivated competition. It is to be a National Competition that would involve strictly plus sized girls to showcase the beauty of the plus sized African Woman to the world.


To become a household name in the global plus-sized modelling industry within five years of her existence.


To eliminate the high level of discrimination plus sized ladies face in the modelling industry.

What every contestant should know about: Miss Bold and Beautiful
MBBN is abbreviation for Miss Bold and Beautiful Nigeria; a non-ethnic, non-religious and non-political entertainment motivated beauty pageantry aimed strictly for plus sized girls to showcase the beauty of the plus sized African Woman to the world.
Auditions for MBBN would be held across different cities within the six (6) Geopolitical zones of the country as the board deems fit.
MBBN is a trademarked under Cherdah Republic Limited – an entertainment and event managing company incorporated in the Federal Republic of Nigeria – by the Commercial Law Department, Ministry of trade and Investment in Nigeria.
Yes there is an age range between 18-26 years for MBBN contestants. However, contestants that are within the age of 26 during the time of registering for the contest and still participate even if they above 26 years during the contest.
No, nursing mothers and married women are exempted from the MBBN competitions.
Yes there are body and health criteria for MBBN contestants and they are not limited to:
• Must not have any tattoos or derogatory piercings on any part of her body and must not belong to any confraternity or socially unacceptable group.
• Must not have any dire health or medical issues that will in any way hinder the progress of the competition.
• Not be less than 5’’2 in height
• Not weigh more than 120kg
• Be Within the range of sizes 12-26
Contestants for MBBN must:
• Make payments to the company’s bank account only and shall provide evidence of payment during the audition.
• Be able to carry through with the other requirements of the competition if selected after the screening
• Be at the audition venue on time as lateness results to instant disqualification.
• Duly complete every registration process online. Failure to do so shall result to disqualification of such contestant.
